9/11/13 Dance School Stats and info. ;)

A guide to help understanding the classes. :)

*Creative Movement - ages 2/3

*Pre-School classes - ages 3/4

*Beginning 1a and 1b classes - ages 5-9 (little to no         experience or needing to strengthen execution and understanding of basics)

*Beginning 2/2b - has experience and is approved to move up or trial this level - has a firm understanding of basic vocabulary for the particular style of dance

*Beginning 3 - 1 step from Intermediate level, terminology advances more, combinations are more challenging with increased speed, strength, and skill execution expected.

*Intermediate - approx. 12 & up

*Teen 1 - 11-16, little to no experience or younger end of spectrum, needing to strengthen skills

*Teen 2 - 12-18 - has a good understanding of vocabulary and many years of dance experience

*Company - must be a member of the dance school 1 year and attend end of the year assessments - summer choreography camp is required.

Students may be considered to move up when they consistantly are meeting a level needed for the next class in the guide above.  We will make recommendations no later then Nov. 1 each season.

New students will be acccepted only until Nov. 1
